Spoofing
Email spoofing is when it appears an email has been sent from your email address, but you know you never sent it!
This is usually done to obtain sensitive information, passwords or simply to hide the spammers identity.
It does NOT mean someone has access to your email account or mail.
Spoofing is a commonly used technique by spammers, and if it becomes a major problem (e.g. receiving millions of bounced emails) there are ways to try and stop the problem.
