POP3 AND SMTP SETUP - OUTLOOK 2007, 2010 (SIMILIAR FOR MOST EMAIL ACCOUNTS)
These setting only apply if Webbuilder is providing the SMTP service instead of the default ISP.
Step 1
OUTLOOK 2010
- Click File (1) to access screen with Account Information
- Click Add Account (2) to create a new account
- Proceed with STEP 4 > STEP 3 > STEP 5 below
Alternatively click Acount Settings (3) and proceed with STEP 2 (steps 3 and 4 may be switched)
This is where all settings can be changed

OUTLOOK 2007
- Open your Outlook 2007
- Click Tools ->Account Settings or E-mail Accounts

Step 2
- Select New email account
(if changing existing email account, select change instead)

Step 3
- Select Internet E-mail... > NEXT

Step 4
- IMPORTANT: Select Manually configure server settings... >NEXT

Step 5
- Add name , email address
- Add Incoming mail server : pop3.webhost.co.nz
- Add outgoing mail server : smtp.webhost.co.nz
- Add username (= email address) and password (type it exactly as provided)
- > More Settings

Step 6
- No changes necessary, but can add Organization
- Reply email address can be left blank,; by default it is same as email address in previous step

Step 7
- Outgoing Server tab
- Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
- Select Use same as incoming mail server

Step 8
- Advanced tab
- Change Outgoing server (SMTP) to 465
- Select SSL for Outgoing server
- TIP: Delivery - Select Leave a copy on server for 10 days if you wish to read mail using internet webmail

Step 9
- Click OK
Send a test message to yourself to check if outgoing mail working
NOTE: Suggest checking if these setting have been saved (especially the SMTP 465 change)
