SMTP SETUP - OUTLOOK 2007 or OUTLOOK XP EMAIL ACCOUNTS

This setting is only to be changed if Webbuilder is providing the SMTP service instead of the default ISP.

Step 1

  • Open your Outlook 2007 or Outlook XP
  • Click Tools ->Account Settings or E-mail Accounts
  • Change SMTP to smtp.webhost.co.nz

Step 2

  • Select More Settings... > Outgoing Server tab
  • Tick the boxes as shown

Step 3

  • Select Advanced tab
  • Tick "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)"
  • Change Outgoing server (SMTP) from 25 to 465

Step 4

  • Click OK
    Send a test message to yourself to check if outgoing mail working

    NOTE: Suggest checking if these setting have been saved (especially the SMTP 465 change)
